RIZZO - Bajo///*** /// Silent Poetry was born on October 2007. Over the last months of 2007, the band dedicated to composition and rehearsing of the songs that would be on their debut album. The recording process started with the drums recording by Fabián Morales, who at the time was the official drummer of the band. From January to March 2008 the guitars, bass and keyboards were recorded. With most of the material recorded, Fabián Morales leaves his position behind the drums to become the singer of band. Then the vocals and guitar solos were recorded finishing the recording, mixing and mastering process. On May 31st Silent Poetry debuts in the scene with the presentation concert of their album "Silent Poetry" at Rock’Ol Vuh, a local bar in Guatemala City. 2 singles were released for this album, gaining a lot of acceptance within and outside the country. The first official video clip is on the last stage of editing and will be out soon as well as some live clips taken from the first live performance of the band. Half way through June, Vladymir Gaitan joins the band as the oficial drummer, proving his talent and will to work hard. Vlady debuted in a concert held in San Pedro Sula, Honduras in June 28th. Up to date, Silent Poetry has participated in a series of events in Honduras, Nicaragua and in Guatemala in some prestigious festivals and opening for Shaman on their visit to Guatemala. In march Raúl and Gunter decide to leave the band for personal reasons, we wish them well on their journey and be sure that your mark is very present on the band. Silent Poetry chose to continue only with Carlos on guitars and Luis Rizzo joined the band giving the band a fresh air and unique style. Currently the band is writing new material for the upcoming album and are about to start the recording process. The poetry is still being written… Silent Poetry nació en Octubre del 2007. En los últimos meses de ese año la banda se dedicó a la composición y ensayo de las canciones que conformarían su álbum debut. El proceso de grabación empezó con las baterías, grabadas por Fabián Morales, quien en ese momento era el baterista oficial de la banda. De enero a marzo del 2008 se graban todas las guitarras, bajo y teclados. Con la mayoría de temas grabados, Fabián deja su puesto detrás de la batería para convertirse en el vocalista y frontman de Silent Poetry, terminando así la grabación de todos los temas y la mezcla y masterización del material. El 31 de mayo Silent Poetry hace su presentación oficial en el concierto de lanzamiento de su álbum “Silent Poetry” en el bar Rock’Ol Vuh en la ciudad de Guatemala. Luego se lanzaron 2 sencillos incluyendo temas de este material y versiones demo y un cover adicional. El primer videoclip esta en su etapa final de edición y está próximo a publicarse así como videos tomados de esa primera presentación. A mediados de Junio, Vladymir Gaitán se une a la banda como baterista oficial, probando su talento y ganas de trabajar duro. Vlady debutó en la primera presentación que la banda tuvo en San Pedro Sula Honduras el 28 de Junio. La banda también tuvo la oportunidad de visitar Managua, Nicaragua a finales del 2008 y varios eventos más hasta la fecha en la ciudad de Guatemala, entre ellos siendo teloneros para Shaman en su visita a Guatemala y otros festivales de renombre. En el mes de marzo Raúl y Gunter deciden dejar la banda por motivos personales. Se les desea lo mejor en su camino y saben que su huella en la banda está presente. Silent Poetry decide seguir adelante solamente con Carlos en las guitarras y se une a las líneas Luis Rizzo en el bajo, dándole un nuevo aire y toque al estilo de la banda. Actualmente la banda se encuentra componiendo el material para su segundo disco y están próximos a iniciar el proceso de grabación.

"Guatemala may not seem like a hot bed for Metal, no less quality Power Metal; nevertheless, Silent Poetry reveal their transcendental intention. From the ashes and ancient whispers of Andromeda, the quest for honour commences. This self-produced independent release is well-wriiten, finely constructed, and thoroughly enjoyable. This is anything but silent poetry, rather this is vibrant, ecstatic, melodious magick; and the music jumps right off the page and into your heart.

Silent Poetry will favor those steeped in the current Japanese Power Metal movement. Those who bay to Concerto Moon, raise the flag for Galneryus, or who know about Ark Storm, will bow in reverance. Even the Greek epic movement of BattleRoar, Assedium, Airged L'amh, Elwing, or Italians like Doomsword and Wotan could gain perspective with Silent Poetry.

If you miss the Italian Neo-classical vibe once ruled by the early works of Rhapsody (Of Fire), Labyrinth, Athena, Skylark, and Luca Turilli's solo projects, then you will celebrate Silent Poetry. Silent Poetry follow the mythistory metal format. The lyrics are uplifting, and evocative. Fabián Morales sings with that Fabio Lione/Alessio Garavello/Alfred Romero/Olaf Hayer tenor. He is never too high, or too out of his range. His pronunciation is prosaic. I'm often reminded of Eliab (Yavi) Gómez the singer for Magnalucius from Chile.

The guitar dynamic between Raúl Cerna and Carlos Cruz is flamboyant and fluid. The keyboards are used in moderation to allow for more guitarmony. A suite like "The Quest' or "Ancient Whispers' is a strong indication of this. 'When The Fire Is Real' is a slow epic piece which brings everything to a calm conclusion.

'The Power of The Moon' an introspective soul journey, has become a hit single. This song is far from being radio accessible. It would be the equivalent of "Eagle Fly Free" flying over the airwaves; not since it sounds like Helloween, but because it offers various solos from each musician. 'State My Truth' is a shredfest of licks and leads, projecting me back to the '90s. 'Pain' and 'Chained' also sink their teeth into the sinews and your bloodbound flesh.

The rubric established by Silent Poetry is one of grace and wisdom. Seek out this lesson in silence, and be assured their fire is real. "
